The basic principle of an active bio-filter is a combination of two methods of the odor reduction - biofiltration and misting, ie. methods by which the odorous air mass is treated with a very fine mist enriched with a special concentrate that is capable to reduce the odorous components in the air. It is not a fragrance or odor overlapping way of treatment, but a reaction by which water and biodegradable, nontoxic salts harmless to the environment occur. All used concentrates have health certificates and are successfully used in similar applications within the EU.
The process of cleaning the air mass in our device is a three-stage with optional use of one to three degrees, depending on the intensity of the smell of the air load cleaned.
1st stage: pre-cleaning
2nd stage: biofiltration
3rd stage: final cleaning
Condensate from all three stages of purification is conducted through a single collection pipeline.
Developed active biofilter is designed as a compact device, placed in a steel frame for an easy handling and transportation. As a basic material for the construction of the reaction chambers is used the polypropylene, due to its high chemical resistance. Biofilter cartridges are made of stainless steel.
Custom device for a high-pressure misting is consisting of a control unit, dosing pump, service pump and a water tank, distribution system of the medium and misting jets (atomizers).
To be able to control the intensity of the odor reduction the whole device is equipped with a management and control unit that allow selection of various service modes depending on the entering odor intensity and desired degree of its reduction.
